Open Data and Datavisualization at the service of territorial equity
In short
To fight against inequalities in equipment between municipalities, the Hauts-de-France Region requested the expertise of 10:11am to design a data visualization solution in the form of interactive cartography.
The project in detail
In 10h11, the Hauts-de-France Region saw the ideal partner to address the issue of equipment inequalities between its municipalities. Thanks to innovative interactive mapping, we have enabled effective visualization and comparison of equipment rates according to various criteria.
The need
The Hauts-de-France Region sought to understand the inequalities of equipment in its municipalities in order to optimize its public policies. Having a clear view of these disparities would allow resources and interventions to be directed more effectively. However, the challenge was to visualize this data in a way that decision-makers could understand and use.
The solution
10h11 met the needs of the Region by creating an interactive map. This platform transforms raw data into intuitive and comparable radar graphs, according to different equipment areas (health, sport, nature, infrastructure, etc.). In this way, the Region could explore these data in a thorough and relevant way.
The results
The data visualization solution provided allowed the Hauts-de-France Region to quickly and accurately decipher the disparities in equipment. Public policies were thus able to be reoriented to target the most disadvantaged areas, helping to reduce territorial inequalities. The ability to filter and compare data has allowed the Region to make decisions based on clear and accurate information, which has had a positive impact on its commitment to territorial equity.
